Palm Springs is a desert city in Riverside County, California, within the Coachella Valley. It is located 111 miles (177 km) east of Los Angeles. It is home to many challenging and picturesque golf courses. Because the winter months are warm, with daytime highs often between 73°F and 86°F, it is an ideal winter golf vacation destination. Here you can escape the cold northern winters and work on the mechanics of your golf swing, improving your golf game.

There are a number of picturesque and challenging golf courses located in Palm Springs. One such facility is the Indian Canyons Golf Resort. It is surrounded on three sides by stunning mountain views, sheltered from the wind, and nestled at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains. The layout consists of 36 holes. This layout consists of two very different 18-hole golf courses, the South Course and the North Course.

The South Course is a par 72 and 6,582 yards long. The course was redesigned by Casey O’Callaghan in 2004 in conjunction with LPGA Hall of Famer consultant Amy Alcott. The course has four large lakes and has more than 850 palm trees.

The North Course is a par 72 and 6,943 yards long. The course meanders through the elegant “Canyon” region of Palm Springs, featuring a wide array of authentic mid-century modern homes and stunning mountain views. The course has six challenging water hazards and is enlivened by thousands of palm, olive and other native trees. The water hazard located between the 9th and 18th holes is home to the visual centerpiece of the course, the historic Walt Disney Fountain that shoots jets of water more than 100 feet high.

Whichever Palm Springs course you decide to play on, make your golf experience a pleasurable one by using the proper golf swing mechanics. Using the correct golf swing mechanics is key to a good golf swing.

Best regards
