I was reading this story from a 28 year old Reddit user about almost cheating on her husband and it made me think that this situation is more common than we think. Her story is simple. She has been married for almost 4 years, has been dating for 6 years, has children and leads a perfect life. But one night she went out with her friends to have a couple of drinks and there she met a boy who was attractive to her. One thing led to another and she almost went home with him.

The thing about cheating is that it can happen to anyone who absolutely loves their partner. Because? Because sometimes our mind tricks us into thinking that the other person is better than what we have at home, even though this is not true. And sometimes we are not the ones who have the idea, but the other person. Sometimes cheating occurs when a person believes in friendship without limits and learns the hard way that things are not as easy as he thinks.

As said above, our mind sometimes tricks us into thinking that the other person is better than our actual love partner. The most important thing you can do is back off immediately, as soon as you realize what you were about to do, and make sure you’re never tempted to do it again.
