San Francisco is bordered by the Pacific Ocean and the San Francisco Bay. The city is a perfect vacation getaway. The Transamerica Pyramid

The Transamerica Pyramid was conceptualized in 1968 when President John R. Beckett observed natural light passing through the city’s trees and onto the streets. He then decided to build a pyramid-shaped building to produce the same lighting results at his headquarters. Several years later, the Transamerica Pyramid is now a well-recognized landmark throughout the world. The unique structure claimed international recognition. This park is in the center of the financial district of Montgomery, with address 600 Montgomery Street, San Francisco, California. It is part of the Transamerica Center and covers almost a city block.

Coit Tower

Lillie Hitchcock Coit was a lady with an eccentric personality who supported the local firefighters. In 1933, she used her funds to build Coit Tower. She left a third of her wealth for the beautification of the city at her death.

Arthur Brown Jr. then took on the task of renovating the city’s magnificent 210ft/63m tall tower. He filled the interior of the cylindrical tower with murals. Most of these murals depict life in California during the Great Depression. A total of 25 painters worked on that project, including a harbor scene, a bank robbery and a look at a department store. These historic murals are being largely preserved. Atop the tower is a platform with a spectacular 360-degree view of San Francisco.

Chinatown

Some people will debate that New York’s Chinatown is the largest, but most still believe that San Francisco’s Chinatown is the largest outside of Asia.

Get a Hong Kong feel in this city. Residential areas and markets are clearly Chinese. Most of the restaurants are cheap. Check out the herbal medicine shops, souvenir shops, and historical sites. Parking in Chinatown can be a problem. Most tourists take public tours instead.
