Are you hosting a beach themed party and want to set a fabulous table that reflects the beach? No problem – there are so many ways to incorporate the theme into your table settings!

crockery: On the beach, plastic or acrylic plates and utensils (or paper) are usually used. These come in a variety of bright colors and aren’t that expensive (and go on sale in late summer). Buy color-coordinated napkins, too. You can also put a colored plastic or linen tablecloth on the tables.

Beach-themed candles or tealights at each place setting: Not only does this help to set a beautiful table setting, but some candles and tealights come in beach-themed candle holders and also make great take-home party favors.

Beach themed photo frames or place cards at each venue.: There are a wide variety of picture frames and card holders that come in the shape of Adirondack chairs, flip flops, shells, pineapples, and sailboats. These also double as take-home party favors.

Beach-themed coasters at each place setting: Once again, these can not only serve as party favors, but also help to set a fun and beautiful table. Many of these coasters also allow you to be a photo on them.

centerpieces:

• A plastic bucket filled with a shovel, suntan lotion, small beach toys, flip flops, etc. Send the centerpieces home with lucky guests.
• A beach hat with a fun and inexpensive pair of sunglasses on the side.
• A whole pineapple actually makes a really pretty centerpiece and it screams “tropics.”
• Several grouped candles. Candles that have a beach theme.

You can also scatter assorted seashells on the outside of the centerpiece to add to the decor.

By the way, don’t forget the music to help set the scene.. Of course, the music of ‘The Beach Boys’ is perfect for any beach party. Or do some research online to find songs that have the word ‘beach’ or a beach theme and create your own tape or CD (“Cruel Summer”, “Heat Wave”, “Island Girl”, “Margaritaville”, “All Summer Long”, “Soak Up The Some” just to name a few”).
