Here’s a relatively simple yet fun Halloween party game that uses the power of suggestion to make it gross. Kids love this, because her vivid imagination makes it easy to believe she’s real. Basically, you have to touch body parts of witches or wizards. That is how.

Use some kind of story, like you were walking in the dark last night, and you looked up and saw a witch or wizard flying on a broomstick. The next thing she knew, he was flying erratically, making zigzag patterns in the sky.

Suddenly, you saw her plummet to the ground and crash. You ran to her and found that she was already dead. So you cut her up into little pieces and put her body parts in boxes (or bags).

“Now you can stick your hand in the boxes and feel his body parts. You’ll have to tell me what you feel. Maybe you’ll get lucky and just touch his hair. Maybe you’ll feel his heart. Or maybe you’ll get a soft, wet eyeball!” !”

To set up the game, you will need several bags, boxes, or containers that you cannot see through. Inside each box or bag, place a different “body part.” Make some dry, some wet, some hard, some soft, and you definitely have something soft and disgusting.

Punch holes in the sides big enough to get a hand through, but not big enough to see through. If you are using bags, pinch the opening together and tie a piece of twine or string so that it can only be partially opened, enough to fit a hand inside.

Here are ideas on what to use for different parts of the body:

Eyeballs: Grapes, Canned Lychee Fruits, Olives, Cocktail Onions

Brains: boiled head of cabbage or cauliflower, or a jelly mold

Guts: canned tomatoes, cooked spiral pasta, the “guts” of a jack-o-lantern pumpkin

Fingers: small sausages, baby carrots

Hair: steel wool, corn silk, yarn

Skin: fruit leather, tortillas, baby cabbage leaves

Heart pudding or applesauce in a plastic bag, stewed whole tomato

Blood: chocolate syrup, corn syrup, maple syrup

Nails: pistachio seeds, sunflower seeds, or pumpkin seeds

Noses: avocado, mushrooms

Mysterious Part: Tofu

This gross Halloween party game will be a hit with your little goblins this holiday. Part of the fun is getting dirty. Kids love to get their hands dirty, and when they can do it without catching a cold, they make the most of it. Also, thinking that something wet and musky could be blood and guts makes them think it might actually be true, even though a part of them knows it’s just faking it and not really feeling wizard brains.
