There are many brands of airsoft pistols on the market today. They range from low-priced plastic toys to high-priced metal weapons. One brand that has stood out above the rest is the SRC airsoft pistols. However, they are not as well known as it might leave many people wondering if SRC is a good airsoft brand and should you buy it? The article below will answer that question for you.

The top of the line weapon in SRC’s line would be the Gen III or Gen III for short. Gen III models use only the best materials in their construction. For example, the M4 is made entirely of metal, except for the stock and pistol grip, which are strong nylon fiber. The AK-47 series is made of real wood and metal. These weapons are so well built that they look and feel like the real thing and are virtually indestructible.

Aside from their rugged construction, the SRC Gen III pistols really put a step above the competition when it comes to internal gearbox components. The way this gearbox is built from stock, you won’t have to add parts or upgrades to it for top-notch performance. Let’s take a look at some of the internals that make this gearbox so cool!

For starters, the biggest factor would be the 8mm ball bearings and the reinforced gearbox housing, which lay a solid foundation for reliability and performance. Then you can move on to the steel gear set which can be used for up to an M140 spring.

The piston is next and it is made of a high strength polymer material so it is not only lightweight but strong as well. Attached to the piston, you will find an aluminum piston head that mates with an aluminum cylinder head, both of which have double O-rings to increase air sealing and firing range.

Attached to the stock is an O-ring air nozzle that will propel the BB down the narrow bore 6.04mm barrel. The M110 spring that is backed by a bearing aluminum spring guide will give you around 330 FPS out of the box. There is an M120 spring included in the box, but it will require installation and will give you around 380-400 FPS. Even at 330 FPS, the SRC gen III has a range of 175-200 feet due to superior air sealing and gearbox efficiency.

As you can see SRC airsoft pistols are a good brand with a lot of quality built in. So the bottom line is, if you want an airsoft pistol that gives you excellent performance without spending money on upgrades, the SRC Generation III series would be the pistol for you.
