Before ordering my Amazon Kindle 2 from Amazon, I read various reviews on the web. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of people who have written their own personal Amazon Kindle reviews. But, there are some people who really don’t understand the magnitude of this innovative new device – its current stage of development and how fast its market is growing – and there are some who do. Reading these reviews makes it very clear which category people fall into. To put it in another perspective, I work at a well-known investment research firm, and without going into too much detail, let’s just say that we are very bullish on AMZN stock, more specifically because of the huge potential of Amazon Kindle in the emerging electronics market. – reader market. No, I’m not trying to give investment advice (that’s not part of my job), but I just want to make it very clear how excited I am about the product and its market in general. My Amazon Kindle 2 review has no restrictions and is not TORO SHIP!

In the few weeks leading up to the Amazon Kindle 2 announcement, you couldn’t walk around a virtual corner without stumbling upon alleged rumors and “insider” information about the groundbreaking new device. Last month, after playing with my boss’s Amazon Kindle 2 at the office, I found myself in absolute lust for this device. Before I decide to order the Amazon Kindle 2 as a Christmas present for myself; I have reviewed, reviewed, and REVIEWED various Amazon Kindle 2 websites, articles, and reviews. This is my personal opinion/response to some of those good and bad reviews Next is my Amazon Kindle 2 review:

1. The Amazon Kindle 2 is not cheap! First of all, let’s not beat around the bush; I certainly wanted to know how much was in store for me right away! As is the case with all other new/”hot” items like the iPhone 3G, PlayStation 3, and LCD TVs (which were originally priced hundreds more than Amazon’s Kindle 2), the Kindle 2 is priced a bit higher. the high end Amazon’s Kindle 2 is currently on sale for $259. Amazon’s CEO recently announced an “incredible” deal for Kindle 1 owners at a press conference: If they order within the next 24 hours, they could jump to the front of the pre-order line! Not even offered a discount, fair the “privilege” of spending $259 faster than non-existent Amazon Kindle 1 owners. What a great deal huh?? Later, however, I considered some other factors. Relative for buying new books and best sellers on a regular basis, the Amazon Kindle 2 really it’s not so expensive Have you looked at the price of new books lately? They can be quite expensive, especially at big-name stores like Barnes and Noble and Borders. Even online at Amazon, you’ll pay $50 for the Twilight Saga collection and $15 for Sarah Palin’s new book (not that I’d want to read her book anyway, but you get the point!). Most eBooks are $9.99 or less. In the long run, especially if you’re a keen book reader like me, Amazon’s Kindle 2 is essential.

2. How does it look? According to its creators, the key design goal was to make Amazon’s Kindle 2 “disappear.” When we read a good book, we tend to become so immersed in the author’s world/story that the physical book eventually disappears. The thinking behind the Kindle was to make sure we can still get lost in reading, not technology. The Kindle 2 has a 6″ black and white display and uses e-ink display technology: the display displays ink particles electronically to make them look like real books, newspapers, magazines, etc.. day in an office in front of a screen During my lunch breaks and when I get home, the LAST What I want to do is look at a computer screen! However, I actually found that the Kindle’s screen has quite a soothing contrast and looks like a real page. Additionally, the Kindle 2 does not use a backlight, which eliminates reflections for daytime or outdoor reading.

The Kindle also has six adjustable font sizes and uses 16 shades of gray. So when your eyes get tired or if you have a book that has small font, you can enlarge it on the Kindle screen. Compared to the first version, Amazon’s Kindle 2 is MUCH thinner and more refined. It measures approximately 1/3-inch in profile and weighs 10.2 ounces. That’s about the size of most magazines, this device alone can hold up to 1500 books in one!

3. The five-way joystick: piece of shit? Five-way navigation is like those pencil-eraser mice that come on laptops (between the keys); I found it quite intuitive but not that convenient. I did feel like the joystick was a little sluggish at times, but not a deal breaker. Something like a trackball on a Blackberry would probably be a better solution. A touch screen would be ideal! There are also page turn buttons located on both sides and the screen can be rotated from portrait to landscape view for optimal comfort.

4. “Single-task hardware”. I read several reviews and comments about how the Amazon Kindle 2 only does ONE thing. First of all, let me say that the Amazon Kindle 2 is NOI repeat NO An iphone!! Most cameras only do “one” thing, but like the Kindle, they do one thing very well. The bottom line about my digital camera is that as long as I take high-quality photos, I’m perfectly satisfied. The 2 GB storage capacity is not for storing all types of content (music, maps, FaceBook, Shazam, Table Tennis, Air Hockey, ESPN, etc.), but for storing 1500 BOOKS! If you’re looking for an innovative reading device, why would you want all of the aforementioned distractions? When you finish one book, you simply download another and start over. In short, the Amazon Kindle 2 may have one primary function (reading), but it can still download several different formats in addition to books, such as newspapers, magazines, and blogs.

5. Simplicity. The Amazon Kindle 2 is simple and easy to use. It’s wireless and ready to use right out of the box; There are no wires, no setup, and no software to install. During the Amazon Kindle 2 review presentation, the Amazon CEO showed a video in which one lucky tester said that he never reads manuals (who does?) and that he had no problem using the Amazon Kindle 2 from immediate. The design team also claims to have improved the Kindle 2’s battery life. The Kindle 2 will stay charged for one week with wireless on and two weeks with wireless off (varies based on usage). However, I saw some comments on the web that since both the Kindle 1 and 2 have long battery life, the difference is barely noticeable.

6. Is the Kindle too fragile? This is a touchy subject for some people. I read several reviews about the durability of the Amazon Kindle 2 and found that it really depends on the person using it. Some people spend their days worrying that their Kindle is too flimsy and will break in their bags. Of course, nothing can replace the durability of a good old book; you can drop it, throw it away, use it as a doorstop and it will still be readable. Personally, I didn’t think it was that flimsy. I guess I can see how stuffing a few books and magazines in your bag, and even the laptop (all along with the Kindle) can be apprehensive. However, when I get my Amazon Kindle 2, I will carry half so many magazines and books. It seems that the problem is solved for me! On a side note, just like cell phones and laptops, there are also several Kindle cases that you can buy separately for added protection.

7. Amazon Kindle 2 can read you! TRUE. With the Text-to-Speech feature, Amazon Kindle 2 can read English books, newspapers, magazines, and blogs aloud while you’re on the train, while you’re walking, or when it’s too dark outside, at which point you can turn on the audio and hear to the rest of the chapter. You can even have the Kindle read to you as you drive from point A to point B. You can also choose between a male or female voice that can be sped up or slowed down based on your preference. However, from time to time, the reader will mispronounce elements and may give wild emphasis. For example, the reader has been known to utter “hyphen” instead of stopping at one; although it is still not a deal breaker.

8. E-books are the FUTURE. The Amazon Kindle 2 review presentation featured testimonials from Kindle 2 users, saying they read now more than ever. I agree with this because I often leave books, magazines, and articles behind because I just can’t carry them all. Also, I only read what I have on hand… not all of them? Amazon’s Kindle 2, with its instant access to over 390,000 books, is sure to broaden my reading horizons, as well as yours, as its popularity continues to intensify.

As with all new cutting-edge technology, the Amazon Kindle 2 has several downsides, but in my opinion, the upsides outweigh. Amazon has conquered the e-book market and will probably dominate it for several years. I hope we’ll be reading e-books as we travel to Mars in 2100. Whether you join the bandwagon now or later, it’s inevitable. Please message me on my website if you have any questions about my Amazon Kindle 2 review.
