Take a look at the following questions and think carefully to what extent they meet your requirements, take your time.

1. Why do you want extensions?

Maybe you’re just tired of trying to grow your hair out, or maybe it’s for a special occasion, or a new style, either way, you need to know if you’ll LOVE them or hate them.

You have to make sure that it is a reason that you are very passionate about, there are many things related to extensions and it needs to be seriously thought about.

If you know why to the above questions, please continue.

2. Do you have time?

Extensions are about more than just getting long hair, human hair extensions need a lot of maintenance and care. More so than your natural hair, due to the fact that they are not attached to the scalp and do not receive oil to help maintain moisture content, so over-washing your hair will leave it dull and lifeless. Also at night, the extensions should be wrapped in a scarf or braided and the pillowcase should be satin/silk. If you’re a wash and wear gal, or a wash addict, maybe extensions aren’t so much for you?

3. Do you have the money?

It really isn’t cheap by any means, whether it’s the cheapest hair or high priced hair, it’s never really under $500 and most of the time that’s just for the hair. Are you able to save that amount of money, do you really have the extra money? Also, are you willing to pay more for better hair to wear longer, like pre-bonded, or do you need something just for an event, more temporary, like clip-in hair extensions? These are all different types of costs that you can really dig into along with the types, make sure you know what you need and want. This is where an in-salon consultation can be very helpful, some places charge for the consultation, some don’t, but these are questions you’ll want to ask when you call.

Once you know what you want, then you know you’re going to be sitting around at least 3-6-7 hours to get pre-bonded human hair extensions (you can use this type for up to 6 months) Do you have that much time to spare and on top of that? everything else, are you patient? Then know that the stylist, with whom he already made a deposit days before, blocked his book for those hours, and the process is done by hand, so the price will always be high. In most cases, it costs upwards of $100 an hour or more.

4. Are you serious about maintenance?

Real human hair extensions need frequent maintenance so your stylist can make sure all the loops are secure and that you maintain them as discussed and/or if you have any issues.

You can’t just go get hair extensions and then disappear never to be seen again, it’s a relationship between you and your stylist to keep your hair looking amazing and make sure you’re[feliz|Enamorado|AMOR].[arehappy|Inlove|LOVEit}[arehappy|Inlove|LOVEit}

Last but not least, the most important question…

6. Do you understand the prerequisite for real human hair extensions?

There’s a lot of thought and care that goes into real human hair extensions, but if done correctly and treated seriously, the results are absolutely gorgeous and who doesn’t love to skip that awkward step in between?
