Flower Wall Be Customized

A flower wall is a popular backdrop for weddings, engagement parties, birthdays, and other celebrations. These stunning displays create an enchanting and memorable ambiance that is sure to impress guests. In addition to being a unique and beautiful accent, a floral wall can also serve a practical purpose by providing shade from the sun and hiding unsightly areas of the venue.

While some couples choose to create their own flowers wall, others prefer to use an established rental service like Day of Rentals. Kaylen, the mastermind behind this gorgeous trend, recently launched her own rental service to bring flower walls to Vermont (she also happens to be a wedding planner through Sara Judith Events). We spoke with Kaylen about her experience with this trending wedding decor, and her tips for brides and grooms looking to create their own floral wall.

As with any type of floral arrangement, a flower wall can be customized to match a particular event theme or aesthetic. For example, you could choose to use a wall of roses or hydrangeas, which are the most common flowers used in decorative flower walls. However, you could also opt for tulips, dahlias, or other seasonally available fresh flowers. You may even wish to add greenery and other sculptural elements like moss or succulents to your flower wall, which can complement any environment or aesthetic.

Can the Flower Wall Be Customized?

To determine how many flowers you will need to cover a wall, begin by measuring the dimensions of your space. A basic 8 foot x 4 foot flower wall will require roughly 45 blooms per square foot. Keep in mind that this number will change depending on the width of the flower, so a flower wall that is two inches wide may require more blooms than a wall that is three inches wide.

Once you have determined how many flowers you will need, start by arranging them in piles of similar colors. This will make it easier to evenly distribute them throughout your design. Once you’ve arranged your flowers, it’s time to tape them to the wall. Using 2-3 pieces of tape will help keep your flowers from falling off the wall and ensure that they remain sturdy during use.

For best results, be sure to tape the flowers closer to their bud/petals, rather than their stems. This will help keep them from drooping as they dry. Once the flowers are secured to the wall, it’s a good idea to go through and add extra ‘filler flowers’ to fill in any gaps in the design.

If you want to create a custom backdrop for your event, you can ask your florist to add a specific message or phrase to the flowers. This is especially useful for corporate events where you might want to display a company logo in the flowers. Alternatively, you can buy flower wall panels from CV Linens that are already filled with florals and greenery, which can be easily customized to suit your event.
