The Philistines had arrived. The Isrealites were scared.

To move or be brave, no one even dared.

A giant named Goliath was waiting for a fight.

No one came out of there, considering their height.

There was a boy named David, who played the harp for Saul.

Now he was very young, but he gave everything to the Lord.

He was the youngest of his family, but very good with the sling.

He was willing to fight Goliath, both for God and for the king.

But his brothers made fun of him and made fun of him, saying he was too small.

“How can you fight a giant that is nine feet tall?”

But David had the Lord joining him in this fight.

And he would not need armor, he would travel light.

With God he killed a lion and he killed a bear.

God would protect him, so he would not wear armor.

The only weapon he had was a very small sling.

He headed for the stream, because it would bring five small stones.

Taking his five stones, he headed off to war.

After talking to the king, he walked out the door.

Goliath was waiting, armed with sharp weapons.

He made fun of David, the boy who played the harp.

“Bring me a dog!” he looked at David in disgust.

“Come on little one, fight me if you have to!”

But David was determined, in his sling he put a stone.

“Come find me!” Goliath said, in a very mocking tone.

Then David raised his sling and spun it.

He hit the giant on the head and he fell to the ground.

The Israelites were pleased, Goliath was now dead.

They were victorious, they brought a sword to the head of the giant.

The Philistines fled, they ran very fast.

Against God, there was no way they could last.

Be strong and courageous and don’t forget the Lord.

Because David killed Goliath with God and not with a sword.
