Committed for Better Business

Now that nurses don’t have to wear the same simple uniform as before, it can be quite exhausting to think about what goes with what. Of course, there are people with the innate ability to mix and match styles without going overboard. But there are also people who are hopeless when it comes to fashion. If you are one of the latter, we recommend that you read the following tips.

As a general rule of thumb, when mixing and matching different pieces of medical suits, it is always a good idea to start with the colors. Of course, this is not the only consideration. However, if you are just getting started, you need to adhere to these rules first.

Dos and Don’ts of Mixing Scrubs

Brilliant outfit, good morning!

MIX yellow with white when you want a fresh finish. Remember that bright colors like yellow are known to lift moods that attract positive energy. This might just be what you need if you are on your way to a long shift.

DO NOT combine your bright color with several brighter colors. In other words, don’t wear too many bright colors. When using a brighter shade of yellow, it’s best to pair it with a more neutral shade like brown or dark green.

Blue is INSIDE.

MIX blue scrubs just like you would a pair of jeans. This is one of the neutral colors, so you can make your outfit more fun by mixing it with a bright or patterned scrub top. Colors that would look great with blue scrubs are light green and purple. If you’re not a fan of orange, you can find a way to soften it up by wearing blue scrubs. Other than that, blue has always been identified to create a calm mood. This will go well when you expect a busy day ahead.

DO NOT rush into any shade of orange blouse with a blue bottom. While deep orange can be advantageous, a brighter shade of orange can make you look cheap.

The little black uniforms

BLEND the top or bottom of the black scrub with any color of your choice. We all know that black goes very well with practically everything. But if you want to be sure, here are the colors you can mix it up with: gray, bright green / blue, and purple.

DO NOT allow yourself to be identified as a Goth Nurse. You can avoid this by using alternative colors with your black scrubs. Remember that black produces a depressing mood and can affect the people around you.

Greens are healthy

Wear green more often. Greens are associated with health and vitality. As well as having a positive effect on other people, this can also give a youthful glow to anyone who wears it. You can use bright green colors with dark blue, red, and brown.

DO NOT use too many earth tones, as they are also identified with melancholy.

Here are the colorful tips to remember when mixing and matching the top and bottom of a scrub suit.
