I have the responsibility of selecting a Christmas present for our entire department. My instructions are clear: make sure the gift is unique, personal and affordable. As simple as it sounds, I’ve been racking my brain to think of something that everyone likes and yet is personal. With those instructions in mind, I started looking for the gift in big box stores and on the Internet.

There I came across the latest Christmas gift idea, which is causing a stir this season: personalized bobbleheads. The best thing about this gift idea is that it meets all the criteria that my boss gave me.

One can add pictures or photos of their choice on these bobblehead dolls. That’s not enough: you can also add messages on these bobbleheads and that was their best feature that solved all my problems. I put names (or nicknames) of everyone in the department on these bobbleheads and put photos of each of these team members. On top of that, I added a personal message for each of these team members that said something special about them.

This turned out to be a really successful idea. More than half of the people in the department have put these dolls on their desks and a few others have put them in their cars. I have been inundated with thank you notes and would also like to mention that I scored some points with the hot girls in the department. My boss also praised me in front of everyone and hinted that my review will get a few more positive marks this year. This latest Christmas gift idea has turned out to be one of the best decisions of my career.
